About Empire Wok

Asian All You Can Eat best price in town. Open 6 days a week.

Empire Wok is a chinese restaurant in Burton, Michigan. It is listed at 4211 E Court St G, Burton, MI 48509, which places it among the local businesses of Burton that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Burton; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Michigan are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (810) 715-8888. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, empirewokmi.com.

Great buffet for the price. Less than $15 for dinner before tip and tax. They got your chicken, pork and beef in a bunch of styles like orange, sesame, and general taos. I wish they would have a vegetable dish on its own like broccoli. They even got sushi and a Mongolian grill. Nothing fancy but great for $15.

I had not been there in over 13 years and gave them a try again. My husband ordered take out. I got General Tsos chicken and my daughter got orange chicken. The chicken was hard and chewy and tasted like mold. I won’t ever eat their food again. There was a reason I hadn’t been there in so long. I feel like the state might need to visit them again.

The sushi and rolls have far too much rice, which I really dislike. The food overall is okay, but nothing special. The service is consistently bad. The staff is unfriendly every time we visit. What bothers me the most is that they take the receipt with the tip written on it before we leave the table, which feels rude and uncomfortable. This has happened many times, not just once. That said, among the Chinese buffets in this area, this place is still the best option, which is why we come here occasionally despite the poor service.

This place has been around on the east side of Flint (Burton) for quite a while. The business is in an older strip mall but the interior is remodeled and very modest. Prices are reasonable considering it's all you can eat. I always get the Mongolian BBQ which is as close to the now closed "Jimmy Lum's" as you can get. Sometimes I get sushi too, which is delicious to me. My wife gets shrimp, crab, and chicken with plenty of vegetables. The soup is average but their fish is always good. A complete dessert bar is available which includes jello, brownies and soft serve ice cream. We also get tea with our meal. There are higher priced buffets in nicer buildings out there but this place is closer to us so we go here. Empire Wok always seems to be open when other restaurants are closed so we like that aspect.

The restaurant has been completely updated and looks very nice inside. The bathrooms are very clean, which was a plus for me. The food was fresh, delicious, and well maintained when I visited. I also love they have sushi!! The staff was very friendly and was consistently checking up on my husband and I. I definitely will be coming back to enjoy more of their food.
